About me

There's a certain calling to what I do. Peaceful, preservation, patience. In the early 80's there were countless hours of research with my grandmother, whether through the cemeteries or library. Now, I find myself once again drawn to my family origins.

Ancestry.com

What started out as a place to map my grandma's records has become an invaluable tool in discovering my ancestors. I caution you to be vigilant and cross-check for accuracy.  It's easy to get caught-up in the excitement of finding a "long lost relative" as it's easy to copy a family branch from someone who may not have done their due diligence.

Find-a-grave

Find-a-grave has proven to be one of my most favorite sites in genealogy research. When the weather allows, I clean stones in our local cemetery or help fulfill requests of people looking for someone specific.  Find-a-grave allows the user to create virtual sites for easy organization. If you choose to clean stones, I recommend you obtain permission from the city and/or caretaker.
